Japan 2010

Nico Rosberg is looking forward to race at super track Suzuka...here are some his words..:

"Suzuka is a great race track and personally I think it is one of the best on the calendar, along with Spa. It is technically challenging, really quick and just a real drivers' circuit which demands the best out of you and the car. The first sector is definitely the highlight of the lap and part of what makes the whole layout so demanding. We've had a decent run of results, considering our performance, with one sixth place and two fifth places so we will be hoping to continue that at Suzuka"

Ross Brawn,boss of the team:

Suzka has hosted some great races over the years and it is one of those tracks that is considered a real classic by drivers and fans alike. The improved circuit and paddock facilities were very impressive last year with the organisers putting on a great show. The last three races have been particularly good for us with regard to our work at the track as a team and our run of points finishes so we will be aiming to continue this trend throughout the final four races."

Nico u 2010.

First podium for uur hero,Nico Rosberg!!He was third in Malaysia and it's a good start for title hunt...go for it,Nico!

Nico Rosberg (3rd)
"It's a fantastic result today to achieve our team's first podium at the home race for our title partner, Petronas. I want to thank the whole team for all of their hard work this weekend and over the winter. This result is the start of the reward for our efforts. It's a great feeling to be back up on the podium again and to have so much support from the Malaysian fans here. My start didn't go that well today as I had a bit too much wheelspin and once I was in third place, I knew it would be difficult to follow the leading cars. I struggled a little with the options in the first stint which allowed Robert to stay quite close but once we switched to the primes, I felt really comfortable and we could manage the race home to third place. This is a great end to a strong weekend for us. We're not quite where we want to be yet so we need to push on but I'm confident that we'll get there soon."

Nico odvezao poslijednju utrku za Williams AT&T

Today's race in Abu Dhabi wasn't really perfect for young German Nico Rosberg.
His last race for Williams F1 Team went not so good as he hoped.
Qualifications were really problematic because Williams car wasn't enough good performances for this kind of track and that was a too big thing for Nico to do something good.
Nico is very happy with the season but the end of season wasn't like he hoped .
He wanted to score at least 1 point but 9th place wasn't good enough for points.

Williams
Nico Rosberg, Williams (9th):
“It wasn't a terribly exciting race for me today as I just didn't have the pace to do any better. I would have liked to help the team hold on to sixth place in the constructors' championship. From a personal perspective, my seventh place in the driver's table wasn't challenged and I think this was a good result this year in the circumstances. It's been a long season and I would really like to thank all the team for their effort during the last four years. We have had a great time together.”

Kazuki Nakajima, Williams (13th):
“It wasn't easy running on a one-stop today and I didn't feel that the first stint went well. The middle of the race was more affected by traffic, but there was nothing to do except keep plugging away for 55 laps, but it was a good battle and I enjoyed myself.”

Rod Nelson, Williams’ chief operations engineer:
“It was naturally disappointing not to be able to retain our championship position today, but well done to BMW and we will miss them next year. Both drivers competed well today, but the car wasn't quick enough and a few incidents in the race compounded the situation. Losing time behind Trulli meant the one-stopping Kobayashi could get ahead of Nico, which made it very difficult to maintain our points margin.”

Nico is no more Williams's driver, but this page is moving on...

Nici otkazao mjenjač na Interlagosu

Having won its last Grand Prix in Brazil five years ago, the 2005 and 2006 Brazilian Grand Prix saw both Williams retire on the first lap. Although the race may have lasted for longer in 2009, the Grove outfit unfortunately suffered the same fate as Nico Rosberg and Kazuki Nakajima left the track in two very different ways.

With Rosberg having looked extremely strong during qualifying on Saturday, the German's day came to a smoky end at Interlagos as his gearbox expired. "I had a good start, making up one position off the line and then managing to stay away from the incidents ahead of me," he said of a highly dramatic first lap in Brazil.

"I was lying in third but then Kubica overtook me at the restart when the Safety Car went in. Fourth was still okay, though, because we had a strong strategy and competitive pace; it was therefore looking good until the gearbox problem - after a promising weekend, this result is a shame."

Nakajima's day, on the other hand, ended in the Subida do Lago tyre wall after a frightening and high-speed accident. "We were lucky to gain some places at the start and make progress up the field after all the incidents," the Japanese driver explained.

"It was quite difficult after the restart; I didn't manage to hold position and I was left stuck behind the cars in front. We were having a good race until the accident, so I'm disappointed it ended this way." Having touched the back of compatriot Kamui Kobayashi's Toyota, Kazuki - minus his front wing - scraped down the wall of the back straight before coming into heavy contact with the barriers.

'Williams decides against Renault engines'
With F1's four new teams - Campos, Manor, Lotus and USF1 - all having confirmed that Cosworth will be powering them in 2010, a Williams return to the legendary brand name would mean the team switches back to the engine company which it last used three years ago following the Grove outfit's split with long-term partner BMW.

Button,chill !!

Nico Rosberg has not been handed a penalty following the Japanese Grand Prix after a post-race investigation was conducted by FIA-appointed race stewards. The German was accused by Brawn's Jenson Button to have sped under Safety Car conditions; the ruling also confirms that the Constructors' Championship battles continues to Brazil.

Nico now has 34.5 points in the world championship and those 34.5 pts are the only points that are on Williams F1 Team this year because Kazuki Nakajima wasn't scored even 1 point.

Nico Rosberg, Williams (5th):
“That was the best I could do today for sure. The car wasn’t as quick as we wanted it to be but we got the best out of it. I had a really good strategy which helped deliver this result. It was a tough race so overall I’m pleased.”

Kazuki Nakajima, Williams (15th):
“Obviously it was a difficult race for me. I was on a one stop strategy which was working up to a point but then there was just too much traffic and the safety car came out so it didn’t work out the way we had hoped. It’s a disappointing result at my home Grand Prix.”

Sam Michael, Williams’ technical director:
“We had an interesting race because our strategies were quite different to the cars around us due to the penalties imposed yesterday. Nico kept his head down and scored some points which was what was required today. He was competitive at the times he needed to be and this is a good result. Kazuki was on a one stop strategy, which was really dependent on something happening to help him up the order, but it didn’t unfortunately.”

After the race...
With Jenson Button having said that Nico Rosberg set a personal fastest sector time under Safety Car conditions at Suzuka, the German has responded to the comments of the World Championship leader.

"I didn't gain an advantage in the Safety Car period," Rosberg told the BBC in response to the accusation. "We're analysing it but it should be fine.

"I did what I should do and I think we're fine." With the Englishman having indirectly accused the German of travelling some four seconds quicker than he should have under sporting regulations, the Williams man responded: "I think the team is discussing it (with FIA race stewards) at the moment."

Nico Rosberg, Williams (16th):
“This was a bad weekend for the team. To begin with, we have lacked pace since the start of practice, and we then had a number of issues in the race too. I had a good first lap and I made up four positions overtaking on the left and the right. Then I was hit on the front left by some debris and the car felt suddenly very different, with lots of understeer, so I assumed I had punctured my tyre and requested to pit. In fact the aero balance had been massively compromised and destroyed the grip, and this was just the beginning of a difficult afternoon. Today is one to put behind us, I think, and look ahead to next race where we should be fine.”

Nico uhvatio bod na Spa

Nico Rosberg, Williams (8th):
“We got absolutely the maximum out of today and so I am not so unhappy with the result. Even though the car was not good at all on Friday, we moved it forward and had a reasonable qualifying. We built on this with a good start to the race and claimed another point finishing in 8th place. It is more than I could have hoped for at the beginning of the weekend. The car was difficult to drive today and it had a lot to do with the tyres. When the sun came out, the tyres worked well, especially the soft tyres in the final stint. In these conditions, I was able to push more.”

Kazuki Nakajima, Williams (13th):
“We struggled with our pace throughout the whole weekend here and qualifying was especially tough, which of course affected our potential in the race. On balance, the race was slightly better than Saturday, but of course all of our attention will now be on what we can do to be sure of an improved result in Italy in two weeks time.

Nico ususret Belgiji

Nico Rosberg, Williams
2008 Qualifying - 15th, 2008 Race - 12th
“Spa should be good for the team. It’s a very high speed track, very different to Valencia, but our car goes really well everywhere. This track, in particular, will suit our car because we have a strong aero package for the quick corners so I’m looking forward to it. “Belgium’s in the middle of nowhere really so it will make a change to the places where we’ve visited recently. Going to different places is what Formula One’s about though so it will be nice.”

Kazuki Nakajima:
“Spa is very different to Valencia with its medium and high speed corners. We struggled a bit there in 2008 but this year’s car is competitive everywhere so it should be fine. The weather made it a difficult race last year so hopefully it will be more stable this year. I don’t have much experience of the country as a whole, but Spa and the surrounding countryside is really beautiful. It’s quiet, but the people are really passionate about Formula One so always really nice to go there.”

Nico 5. u Valenciji

Nico Rosberg, Williams (5th):
“I did enjoy the race, but the heat really took most of the fun out of it. It wasn’t nice, but it was still a good result for the team. Fifth again, after starting seventh, is not bad, and gives us more points. I was hoping to beat Raikkonen today but he was too fast. Our car seems to suit every track we go to, and the team is doing well to keep development going from race to race. It’s nice that we are always up there and I hope we continue like this, and possibly make a step forward onto the podium soon

Nico ponovno 4.!!!

Go Nico,go!!!
